Scratch-made sauces, homemade sausage and meatballs, USDA Choice steaks and veal, and thin-crust pizza, served the way the Barraco family has served it for four generations.
Like coming home for a home-cooked meal
Joe Barraco Sr. opened a grocery store on Bryan Street in 1956. In September 1982 the family opened Prego Pasta House on Greenville Avenue, and Rose brought her family recipes with her.
Those recipes are still on the menu. Every sauce is made from scratch without MSG, every steak and veal cut is USDA Choice, and the Italian sausage and meatballs are still made in house, the same way they were sold at the grocery store.
